Originally known as the “Metcalf Building,” this historic building in downtown Edwardsville has attracted locals since the 1920s, opening shortly before the Wildey Theatre down the street. Over time, as entertainment within the theater declined, the building became a location for local businesses. Eventually, it required extensive renovations, and we were able to restore it as a three-story, multiuse establishment. Today, the Metcalf Building includes four commercial spaces in the basement, three on the main floor, and eight residential apartments, including a multistory loft. This combination of historical character and modern function makes it an ideal space for both business and residential purposes.
