How long have you been in construction?
I’ve acquired 38 years of experience in the construction industry, working across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, and heavy highway projects. This diverse background has given me a deep understanding of the complexities involved in construction and the skills needed to successfully manage and complete projects of all sizes.
What is your favorite part about working in construction?
The aspect I enjoy most about construction is the thrill of overcoming obstacles in a challenging environment. Every project comes with its own unique set of problems, and the process of finding effective solutions keeps the work exciting and engaging. It’s incredibly satisfying to navigate through difficulties and see a project through to completion despite the hurdles along the way.
What has been your favorite project?
One project that particularly stands out to me is the Bankers Pflatts development. It was a complex endeavor that required careful planning and coordination, but the result was a successful project that made a lasting impact. Being part of something that contributes so significantly to the community is a highlight of my career.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy participating in bass tournaments and spending time fishing for crappie. Fishing is a great way for me to relax and recharge, while also challenging my skills in a completely different environment. It’s a perfect balance to the fast-paced world of construction and allows me to unwind and enjoy nature.
