How long have you been in construction?
I started working in construction a long time ago—long enough that I’ve lost track of the exact number of years. What I can tell you is that it’s been a lifelong passion. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats in the field and have seen the industry evolve in incredible ways. From hands-on labor to leadership roles, I’ve been lucky to be a part of it all.
What is your favorite part about working in construction?
Without a doubt, the most rewarding part of construction is the people. It takes a wide range of individuals—each with unique skills, strengths, and experiences—to bring a project to life. Watching those talents come together to accomplish something tangible and lasting is incredibly fulfilling. It’s about teamwork, trust, and building more than just buildings—we’re building relationships and communities.
What has been your favorite project?
That’s a tough one! It’s a tie between the two places that have meant the most to me over the years. I spent nearly two decades working on projects across Washington University’s campus, and the level of craftsmanship and complexity there was unmatched. At the same time, the work we’ve done revitalizing Edwardsville’s downtown has been especially meaningful. Being part of something that transforms and uplifts a local community—especially one so close to home—has been incredibly special.
