How long have you been in construction?

I started my construction journey immediately after graduating from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s School of Engineering in 2013. Since then, I’ve dedicated over a decade to sharpening my skills, growing with every project, and making meaningful contributions to the industry. It’s been a rewarding path—full of challenges, lessons, and opportunities to build structures that matter.

What is your favorite part about working in construction?

Undoubtedly, the most exciting part of working in construction is seeing a project come to life—from its earliest design concepts to the final walk-through. Every phase brings new challenges and opportunities, and there’s nothing like seeing the finished product knowing how far it’s come. I also deeply value the relationships I’ve built over the years—with clients, subcontractors, and our internal team. These partnerships are the foundation of our success. What I love most about construction is how it’s constantly evolving—there’s always something new to learn, and that growth keeps me inspired.

What has been your favorite project?

It’s tough to pick just one! Each project leaves its mark, but the ones that take place right here in my hometown of Edwardsville are especially meaningful. Being born and raised here, it’s incredibly rewarding to work on spaces that my own family and friends use and enjoy. It’s a way to give back to the community that shaped me.

What do you do in your spare time?

In my downtime, I’m usually with friends and family—whether we’re relaxing at home, fishing, or out on a hunting trip. I also enjoy playing golf and hitting the ice for a game of hockey. Those hobbies help me recharge and bring a little friendly competition into the mix.
